MONROE, Mich., (April 1, 2011) - This past fall, La-Z-Boy introduced a brand campaign to educate customers
about the wide range and selection of great-looking furniture that La-Z-Boy offers.
At the April 2011 High Point Furniture Market, the company expands that collection
even further with introductions to help its customers "Live life comfortably SM" - offering products from stationary sofas and sectionals
to new motion styles with bucket seating, all designed to provide comfort in an array of styles.
"Our customers already look to La-Z-Boy to provide ultimate comfort," said Paula Hoyas, vice
president of merchandising for La-Z-Boy. "Our furniture introductions
this Market further demonstrate our commitment to providing that comfort in very attractive forms as we launch a variety of offerings
to suit the preferences of all of our customers."
Reinvigorating Premier Comforter Comfort
The La-Z-Boy® Premier line of stationary furniture offers relief
to backs, seats and knees with its ComfortCore cushion technology, designed with four different foam densities appropriately
distributed to provide the best comfort and support level for different areas of the seat. New Premier introductions refresh the
collection with unique, upscale designs and lower price points - without sacrificing the features that make this line of furniture
La-Z-Boy Premier.
"Delaney" offers an on-trend style with a designer focus, including a small track arm, decorative wood high leg
and standard welt detail with nailhead trim option.
For a classic, transitional look, "Cadence" offers a deeper seat and back collar with an optional nailhead outline.
The "Poet" and "Sonnet" conversation sofas provide a slight angle to accommodate those who wish
to socialize on their sofa - with "Sonnet" featuring an elegant skirt.
"With features like ComfortCore cushions and padding on the outer arms and back, the La-Z-Boy Premier line is completely focused
on helping our customers to live life comfortably," said Hoyas. "The new introductions in this line combine these exclusive comfort
features with fresh, unique styles to provide even more options for our customers."
Completing the stationary introductions is "Dane," a one-piece back reclining chair that can either serve as a
stand-alone chair or a correlate to the "Delaney" stationary sofa.
Putting its Signature on Leather Furniture
Leather provides countless décor options, as well as comfort and timeless
appeal. This Market, La-Z-Boy expands upon its Signature Leather offerings with new frames a variety of styles: traditional "Jamison,"
which offers a sofa, loveseat and matching pressback; and contemporary "Chase," a pillow-top design with a classic
back, classic arm and heavy stitching detail for a clean look. "Chase" is available as a sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman.
"Each of these styles fulfills a specific niche for our customers," said Hoyas. "These new introductions will freshen up our already
impressive Signature Leather line."
Setting La-Z-Boy Comfort in Motion
Automotive-style bucket seating is making a statement in the La-Z-Boy showroom, with several motion
products featuring this new benefit for the utmost in comfort. New introductions with a bucket seat include "Eclipse,"
which features soft, deep cushioning in a luxurious shape and sophisticated attitude, and "Declan," which offers
value-priced superior comfort.
Also featuring bucket seating is "Dempsey," a Shiatsu-style massage recliner featuring a rolling, kneading massage
in the seat back - with transitional styling that offers superior style and comfort even when the massage function is off. "Dempsey"
joins the popular "McAlister" Shiatsu massage recliner, introduced at the October 2010 High Point Market.
"The Shiatsu massage feature offers the perfect accompaniment to the comfort of sitting in a reclining position," said Hoyas. "'Dempsey'
provides an additional style option for our customers who value the added element of relaxation of this unique massage function."
Other motion introductions include "Liberty," a feminine addition to the Luxury Lift collection that features
a smaller scale, lower seat heights and smaller arms. "Liberty" boasts a "box-within-a-box" construction which offers a more discreet
lift mechanism as well as industry-exclusive safety advantages unique to the lift chair market.
Further expanding on new motion offerings are several stylish groups: contemporary "Cole," which features track
arms, and transitional "Jenna," which boasts roll arms. The clean lines and UltraPlush construction of the "Blake"
sofa and recliner round out the motion introductions.
