La-Z-Boy Continues to Lead in Reclining Innovation

New options include "power tilt headrest and lumber support" and "MemoryFoam"

HIGH POINT, N.C., (April 21, 2012) - La-Z-Boy has always been on the forefront of furniture technology: at October 2011's market, La-Z-Boy announced the launch of the PowerReclineXR™, a technological advance in reclining, that allows consumers to raise and lower the back and footrest independently or in unison for virtually limitless comfort positions. This season, the PowerReclineXR option will be added to 26 additional recliner styles.

And this market, La-Z-Boy continues to innovate in the power area, introducing the PowerReclineXR+™, which adds a unique power-tilt headrest and power lumbar support to the customized movement features of the PowerReclineXR.

With PowerReclineXR+, consumers can adjust the power-tilt headrest angle from 0 to 55 degrees with the push of a button, for optimal comfort positioning. This feature enables the consumer to maintain "line of sight" for watching television, reading or enjoying conversations with friends and family, while providing optimal head and neck support.

The power lumbar feature grants consumers customizable lower back support. The depth of support is adjustable up to three and a half inches, ideal for relieving lower back fatigue and stiffness.

La-Z-Boy is proud to introduce a high-performance Memory Foam seating upgrade option providing superior comfort, resiliency and support. The available upgrade to the seat, chaise and legrest will be available on select motion and reclining styles, and combines a two-inch layer of premium quality memory foam over a high-resiliency (Qualux®) foam base for the perfect balance of personalized comfort and targeted support. As durable as it is comfortable, the advanced-technology Memory Foam cushioning option is backed by a three-year warranty.

MemoryFoam by La-Z-Boy will be introduced on nine recliner styles, three of which have matching motion groups, ranging from sleek to traditional in a variety of sizes, including the "Pinnacle," "Lancer," "Larson," "Coleman," "Conner" and the "Lawrence," "Astor," "Harbor Town" and "Niagara."

"Introducing these innovative upgrades and options to our La-Z-Boy recliners takes the reclining experience to a whole new level," states Paula Hoyas, Vice President of Merchandising for La-Z-Boy. "We are pleased to provide unique upgrades that allow consumers to truly customize their reclining experience."

PowerReclineXR+ will be available in La-Z-Boy retail stores in early summer 2012. The recliner option will be available in several styles, including the "Pinnacle," "Maverick, "Lancer" and "Greyson."
