La-Z-Boy Debuts Fall/Winter 2012 Style Trends at High Point Furniture Market

Vibrant mosaics, beach glass and jewel tones make it to the top of the inspiration list

HIGH POINT, N.C., (October 13, 2012) – La-Z-Boy’s merchandise and design team were onsite during High Point Market , the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, and recently shared three new trends they are seeing in the industry. Each of these home fashion trends – which include Mosaics, Beach Glass Inspired, and Return of the Jewel Tones – has their own distinct personality, infusing style with functionality.

The Mosaic trend offers a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors such as orange, lime, pink and purple, mixed with a beautiful grey to create rich hues that are invigorating and effervescent, but that also provide a unique contrast to the muted tones. The colors are ideal for creating a bold and vibrant Moroccan-inspired retreat with the versatile La-Z-Boy furniture, offering unique color combinations and shimmering iridescent layers of patterns to produce a bright, entertaining effect that will help liven up any room.

The Beach Glass Inspired furnishings provide soft nature-inspired hues of green and blue mixed with pale yellow and charcoal grey. The patterns are inspired by nature, and convey a subtle and muted palette that is calming, exuding complete tranquility. With circular small-scaled patterns, this trend incorporates shapes that do not overwhelm a room, but rather help to create an escape, like a sand swept beach, from the hectic world outside.

The Return of Jewel Tones trend incorporates bright colors, intricate patterns, and prints reminiscent of a peacock feather. Ideal for the consumer who is looking to make a statement, the rich, bold tones of plums, vivid teals and royal blues showcase a modern look that reflects luxury and striking individuality.
