MONROE, Mich. – Two La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores, originally owned and operated by the former McMahan’s Furniture chain, have reopened in Redding and Chico by Jim and Liz Reego, who own four other La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Sacramento. The stores, located at 2363 Athens Ave, Redding, and 2315 Esplanade, Chico, both celebrated grand openings under new ownership operation January 7. With a store format that provides an easy furniture shopping and home decorating experience for customers, the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store system is one of the largest furniture retailers in North America.
The redesigned, repainted and reopened stores in Redding and Chico are 10,500 square feet and 16,500 square feet respectively, and both offer a full selection of La-Z-Boy® furniture including chairs and sofas, correlating cocktail tables and lamps, area rugs, wall art and decorative accessories. The professionally-staffed design center and complimentary interior design service help customers save time while avoiding costly mistakes.
"La-Z-Boy furniture is known for its comfort and quality, and we’re proud to bring its wide home furnishings selections and high quality reputation to residents of Redding and Chico," said Liz Reego, co-owner with husband Jim Reego. "In our showrooms, customers find an easy, enjoyable shopping experience and as much help as they need to get the perfect furniture for their homes."
Jim and Liz Reego now own and operate a total of six La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores. "The Reegos have been in the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries family for more than 25 years. They are second generation furniture operators in the furniture industry and are very dedicated to quality display and design," said Greg White, senior vice president of sales and merchandising for La-Z-Boy.
In addition to the company’s world-famous recliners, the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores carry reclining sofas, sleep sofas, stationary sofas and sectionals, as well as decorative accent chairs. La-Z-Boy offers hundreds of fabric and leather choice products for custom made furniture, as well as many pre-selected pairings for quicker delivery.
Every La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries showroom is built around the La-Z-Boy Design Center, which is staffed by design consultants and was created to provide customers with inspiration, answers and helpful assistance. Included in the design area is the interactive La-Z-Boy Screen Test® system, which allows customers to design their own furniture by rendering any La-Z-Boy product in their choice of hundreds of fabric and leather covers. For customers looking to shop in the convenience of their home, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries also offer in-home design assistance.
"The La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores offer exceptional service and professionals that go above and beyond to make furniture shopping a truly comfortable experience," said White.
