The Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House program provides families with a “home away from home” while their children receive treatment in a nearby hospital or medical facility. Here, family members can sleep, eat, relax and find support from other families in similar situations. Since 1974, Ronald McDonald Houses have helped more than 10 million families in need. There are currently 174 Ronald McDonald Houses in North America.

Ronald McDonald Family Room

The Ronald McDonald Family Room program provides a home-like haven inside hospitals, offering families of critically ill children opportunities to reflect, shower or rest without leaving their child’s side. There are currently 70 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in North America.

The Quilt

Since the 1920’s, La-Z-Boy’s furniture has been designed and built to provide comfort and support. But, did you know that since 2002 the company has also provided much-valued support to breast cancer survivors and their families? La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries®, in Canada, is the traveling sponsor for THE QUILT: Support for People Living with Cancer, a program that exhibits and auctions hundreds of exquisitely crafted quilts to raise money for breast cancer support programs.

This year, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries will show 236 gorgeous quilts, in 13 cities across Canada. As the traveling sponsor, La-Z-Boy has been instrumental in showing these quilts and inspiring people to place their bids online or attend the fall auctions in Canada: in Stratford, ON; Toronto, ON; and Calgary, AB.
