MONROE, MI. (April 25, 2014) – La-Z-Boy recognized the owners and operators of its top performing La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries locations at an awards ceremony
held during the recent High Point Furniture Market.
“La-Z-Boy’s position as the most recognized home furnishings brand is solidified by the dedication and hard-work of our stores,” said Mark Bacon, president of La-Z-Boy Branded Business. “Once a year at this special ceremony we reflect on the stores’ great accomplishments and applaud them for their commitment to our brand.”
Today, the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries network consists of 312 stores located throughout the United States and Canada.
Retail Partner of the Year
The Retail Partner of the Year award recognizes one owner in the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries retail system that continuously demonstrates
a commitment to the La-Z-Boy brand, retail network and customers. This honor was given to Lew Brown, Jr., owner and operator of 14 La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries
throughout Texas. Brown continues to grow his business year after year by becoming more efficient and consistently identifying, addressing and exceeding his customer’s needs.

Customer Service Excellence
The Customer Service Excellence award was given to Jim Hendren and the Colorado Springs, Co. team for achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction
in the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries system across North America. Customer service is an essential part of the La-Z-Boy brand, beginning from the sales experience
through delivery. “Hendren and his team exemplify the customer experience at every level,” said Bacon.
Ronald McDonald House Charities® Partner of the Year
The Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) Partner of the Year award recognizes the partner in the La-Z-Boy Furniture
Galleries retail system who has continuously demonstrated commitment to the RMHC partnership. This honor was given to Chris Durocher for his efforts to support the non-profit organization. Durocher operates two
La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries near Toledo, Ohio.
Every month the Toledo area La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries’ not only serve, but fund dinners at the local Ronald McDonald House. In addition, their General Manager, Matt Simpson, is a member
of the local RMHC Board of Directors and also leads the Marketing and Gift in Kind Committees within the organization.
“Durocher and Simpson are passionate towards the cause and are testaments of what our partnership with RMHC is about,” said Bacon. “We applaud them for the comfort they provide these families and for the inspiration
they give to others.”

In addition to honoring the top-performing partners, La-Z-Boy announced
a series of awards focused on excellence within the Furniture Galleries system. The La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores recognized as the top 10 based on total sales for 2013 were:

- Calgary, Alberta (11th Street); owner – Cam Davidson
- Glendale, Ariz.; owner – Ed Breunig III
- Calgary, Alberta (Northland); owner – Cam Davidson

for 2013 were:

- La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Yorba Linda, and Costa Mesa, California, both owned corporately and operated by Market Sales Manager, Josh Walz
