Great Recliner
Lazboy is the best recliner. This is my second recliner. My first recliner lasted 20 years without any defects.

Bad design
With any recliner, the key component - and the one which endures the most stress - is the reclining mechanism, and the reclining mechanism in the Lancer I purchased failed within 9 months. The problem was that a cheap plastic clip broke making it difficult to retract the ottoman fully. The way it was explained to me was that this was part of a new design which was intended to make the chair easier to repair. With the old design, if (when) the mechanism failed, they had to take the entire chair apart to effect the repair. With the new design, it is simply a matter of slipping in the new plastic clip, which only takes a few minutes. So in that regard, the chair is, indeed, much easier to repair. Unfortunately, the plastic clip is not strong enough to stand up to routine use for more than a few months. So while the chair is, indeed, easy to repair, you'll be needing to have it repaired once a year or so. In my opinion and considering that this was by far the most expensive of the three recliners I've owned, this is unacceptable and I would not have purchased it if I had known about this problem.

Not Happy
Bought this recliner to replace a previous Lazboy recliner we have had almost 20 years that was no longer fitting our color scheme. I'm tossing this one out, digging the old one out of the dungeon, and calling an upholsterer tomorrow to see if they can do something with the old one. This one kills our backs, the fabric has already pulled, and it creaks like it's 20 years old (it's only two). Not happy at all with this purchase.
