Living on the other side of the world in the Orient for a decade was fascinating, but being so far from familiar things, home and family was challenging. Communication, public transportation, cultural differences made even shopping and eating out a bit of a struggle. After work and other activities, though, I came home to my trusty La-Z-Boy recliner that I'd shipped overseas. There, in that familiar comfort, I felt truly at home, able to relax and regroup, ready once again to face the challenges of the next day. I think of it as an adult version of my beloved childhood teddy bear. With La-Z-Boy's help, I overcame the culture shock which could have threatened my career success, was able to relax and enjoy the most incredible experience of my entire life, living overseas. When I left, I passed the La-Z-Boy on to a soldier and his family, who were ecstatic to get that gently worn symbol of America. Now we are back in the U.S., and have replaced the La-Z-Boy recliner with two La-Z-Boy recliners; I get the one that vibrates, and hubby gets the wall hugger, and the company gets the La-Z-Boy couch that opens up into a bed so comfortable that it is hard to get them to go home! La-Z-Boy has always been a part of our lives, and I cannot imagine a time when it would not be.

we just remodeled our kitchen of 25years, the floors and countertops were covered with $500 worth of PENNIES! Can you imagine how cold that floor was. The job took 3 months to complete, now the domino thing is happening. The tv room and dining room had an uplift. The poor living room is last, our only new furniture that we ever bought 25 years ago were two La-z-boy swivel rocking recliners. If those chairs could talk they would have fond memories of children sleep overs, kids pretending to

We have had La-Z-Boys chairs since shortly after we got married. When we finally had our healthy baby girl after suffering through two miscarriages, we rocked her gently to sleep in your chairs, never wanting to let her go. She is now a beautiful seventeen year old young woman who rocks in the chair and dreams of college and what she will do with her life.
When we brought our twin boys home from the hospital two years later the rockers were a godsend. Since they were premature, we needed to feed them every 2 hours. Often, we would feed the boys and fall asleep rocking them, dad in his chair with one boy and mom in the other with the 2nd boy. Well today the boys are young men in high school and those chairs hold them (and their friends) as they rough-house and play video games.
Those same two chairs rocked our youngest baby boy too. He is now a boisterous ten year old with dreams of becoming a pro bass fisherman.
Our chairs have been slept on, rocked in, used for cuddling, story time, nursing sickness, healing ouchies and singing lullabies. They have been turned over to build forts and have even been moved to a bigger house. They are still as comfortable as ever, work perfectly and are definitely an important part of our home. Thanks La-Z-Boy for being part of the family!

Before our daughter was born we purchased a La-Z-Boy sectional sleeper sofa. It was the best piece of furniture that we've ever had. Unfortunately when we last moved about six years ago, that sectional had to be sold as it didn't fit within our new home.
Whenever I think about that sectional I can vividly recall my daughter sitting up for the first time unaided by anyone on the big piece of furniture. She looked like some sort of doll placed in the middle of what looked like a giant sofa. Well, that little girl is now away at college (freshman) and there are many times when I wish that we still had that sofa, if only to sit within it to re-live those wonderful memories. My wife and I are now thinking of getting new furniture and will definitely look at La-Z-Boy.
