I agree with cushion issues...sort of...
We bought a Mackenkie "set" about 10 years ago in suburban Detroit. It consisted of two chairs, an ottoman, a couch and two items outside the Mackenie group, which we had matching fabric put on (an upright sitting chair and small settee...it matched the golf motif that we had put on one of the Mackenzie chairs and on the ottoman). For both chairs the cushions held up well, but about a year ago the white cord supports that go around the edge of the cushions on the couch began to break down under the fabric. About six months later they began breaking/cutting through the fabric...now the edge of the cushions are pretty much trashed. Of course the matching fabric no longer exists so we're stuck with buying a chair and couch in the Mackenzie line (with a different fabric) again, or going completely with something else. So the punchline is, is 10 years reasonable for the cushions to hold up? With two boys (three counting me) and all the rough-housing and "beating-up" the sofa received...I suppose so. We used it (and probably abused it) alot! So we will probably look for something in a Mackenzie couch and chair that matches the golf motif in a dark maroon or burgundy. So, I'm "generally" satisfied, if there is such a thing. Ten years with the same couch...I'm ok with that...

Not Quality Furniture
Like a previous review, we've had no end of problems with the cushions. When bought, I was told that the cushions would last forever, within 2 years I had to replace them all since they do not hold up to daily use.
Do not buy this sofa unless you plan to keep it in a show room that no one ever uses.

uncomfortable
This sofa looks very nice, and appears to be well made. But, it is one of the most uncomfortable sofas I have ever used. I purchased in March 2010, and soon realized that there is no support either at the front or the side (near the arms) and we are constantly shifting our position to try and find a comfortable seat. If you pull the cushion way out it works for a little while, but what a pain! We are not tall so I was looking for a sofa that was not too deep. This appeared to work but it didn't take long to realize that despite the dimensions it is just dang uncomfortable. The loveseat I purchased at the consignment store (also La-Z-Boy) is certainly not beautiful but is much more comfortable. I am shopping for a new sofa.
