My husband and I both were having issues with our previous chairs giving us severe neck pain and then going into bad headaches.
Like most of the other reviewers, we sat in every one of the recliners and kept coming back to the Maverick. After we decided on that style, we sat in our chairs of choice, I got the rocker/recliner and he got the wall hugger recliner, for about a half hour to see if our necks ached or our head ached. Neither of us had any issues so we ordered them.
Now that they have been delivered, we are happier with them then we even thought we would be. We have been neck/head pain free for about 3 weeks now.
What a Blessing these chairs have turned out to be!

Cannot have the best of both worlds
As a recliner the chair is great. But when I sit in it and start to rock the chair wants to recline and not stay upright. So I tightened the wingnuts which helped some but did not work perfectly and also the recliner did not want to go back in place by itself because the tightened wingnuts prevented it from doing so. So customer service was bringing me a new chair and i asked the delivery man about it and he said that you cannot have the best of both worlds. He said the new one will do the same. So I give Lazy Boy one star for design because the rocker and recliner do not work well together. But I am keeping it because it is so comfortable as a recliner.

My Zen Chair
I was looking for a chair to go in my reading nook; initially I wanted a chair and ottoman but due to some back problems decided a recliner would be better. When the salesperson showed us the Maverick, I fell in love with the way it felt but wasn't thrilled about the style, thinking it was too bulky for me.
After trying out every other recliner in the store, I kept coming back to the Maverick-- nothing else was as comfortable. I chose the Silt fabric and it looks great in my reading nook which has soft green walls. Seeing it now in my room, I really do like the way it looks. It's a cozy chair that just calls to me!
Most importantly, it feels like no other chair I've ever sat in. I feel cradled when I sit in it, almost as if my body just melts into the chair. It's supportive everywhere-- neck, legs, knees. After a week of really bad back pain, I was glad when the chair arrived and after a couple of hours of reclining in it the back pain was, surprisingly, nearly gone!
I also love the many reclining options-- it reclines at the back without putting the foot rest up which turns out to be a comfy position. I can angle this chair at a comfortable level for reading, using my laptop, or just relaxing.
