See What We Did to This Whitestown Home!
Lawn chairs. That's all this couple had in their beautiful new home
to sit on, and they were overwhelmed knowing they needed to buy
everything to fill their empty living and dining room spaces.
Thankfully, our designer, Jen Nemet, was there to help them find
everything from the seating, to the tables, down to the lamps and
accessories. She knew the clients wanted to recline, but didn't
want it to look like the typical recliner, so she introduced them
to the Makenna style, and they were in love!
The designer walked them through the nearly 1,000 fabric choices,
and when the client's eyes lit up over the patterned pillow fabric,
she KNEW they'd found their color palette. She carried the black,
grey, taupe, and tan colors through both spaces with all the
upholstery and a two-toned dining room set that had coordinating
living room tables as well.
The clients could not be HAPPIER with the final result! The husband
especially loved the effect the dining room chandelier had on the
ceiling, and the wife was most excited by the layout and how
beautifully Jen accessorized the rooms.
This Indianapolis Home Gets a Light & Airy Makeover!
The previous furniture in the client's home was big, bulky and
dark. They were looking forward to a total style overhaul and had
their hearts set on a room that was light and airy, and a mix of
modern and farmhouse.
Our designer selected an airy color palette of creams, yellows, and
blues and brought in some contrast with farmhouse style tables that
had dark wood tops and a brown recliner so the space wasn't
completely "washed out". The designer worked in some bits of
greenery and rustic iron to add warmth and character to the
The new look was like a breath of fresh air, and the client LOVED
the way her rooms LIT UP! It was truly the welcoming and peaceful
space she was hoping for.
