La-Z-Boy Infuses Enhancements & More Power Into Its Reclining Collection

HIGH POINT, N.C., (Sept. 17, 2014) – At High Point Market 2014, La-Z-Boy will unveil a technological advancement enhancing the recline position in wall proximity products while offering the option to upgrade to power recline for ultimate comfort. The redesigned Reclina-Way® mechanism features extended travel, increased legrest elevation, improved stability with quieter operation and more. The improvements land La-ZBoy with a fully-loaded reclining product line, all available with power.

“Building off an 85-year commitment to comfort and design, we focused this season on how we could truly take our recliner and reclining sofa offerings to another level,” said Paula Hoyas, vice president of merchandising for La-Z-Boy.

The enhanced Reclina-Way® mechanism gives users one of the most reclined layouts available in a wall recliner today by using the entire travel-in-the-seat slides. Furthermore, the mechanism reduces side-to-side and front-to-back movement. Users can independently operate the back recline and legrest positioning, either manually with the traditional iconic handle, or with sleek, new toggle buttons on power models. Rounding out the experience, users can enjoy the nearly lay-flat enhanced recline without touching a nearby wall.

In addition to the enhanced Reclina-Way® mechanism, La-Z-Boy is introducing four new recliners, three new reclining sofas, two modified reclining sofas adapted to use the new Reclina-Way® mechanism, as well as a new motion modular group. With over 800 covers and a variety of finishes, customized reclining comfort is taken to the max.
