What tips do you have for customers looking for a new furniture piece?
What goes hand-in-hand with comfort is the design and color. The design needs to correlate with the architecture of the room, and the color needs to be correct.
What is the design tip you just can't stress enough?
Area rugs, art and accessories are the most important pieces to turn that nice room into that “wow” room.
How do you determine the right style for your customers?
I not only ask them what they do like, but also what they don’t like. I have them point out pieces they have seen that they love.
What are your favorite La-Z-Boy fabrics right now and why?
The correlates are my favorites. It makes it easy to mix patterns for that true custom design.
Where do you go or find your inspiration?
I find my inspiration from my coworkers. We send photos of completed rooms and have monthly meetings sharing design ideas.
What is your favorite part of designing a customer's home?
Seeing how thrilled and excited they are about their new design. It’s priceless.
